Annual Memorial Awards Celebration

On Friday December 10th the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition will have our annual memorial awards celebration. This is where we honor those who have passed on and those who are continuing their good works. We give awards to people within the disability community -it is a free event and we encourage you to come.

In true CCDC fashion it will be a potluck and we are going to try to be a bit organized about it. CCDC will provide drinks and paper goods.

If your last name begins with:

A-G bring something sweet (cookies, candy, brownies, cake, etc.) If your last name begins with

H-O bring something salty (chips, cheese and crackers, pretzels, nuts, etc.)

P-Z bring something healthy (fruit, veggie tray, or sugar free deserts, etc.)

We usually get about 80 people but you don't need to bring food for 80-bring for about 25

There is parking and it is right across Broadway from the 1-25 and Broadway light rail station.

Please show up to honor those who have earned this respect.

I am sure that the CCDC board will be designating a memorial award for Laura Hershey. We want to give this adequate thought and planning and have the first presentation be very meaningful and want to make sure Robin and others close to Laura have time for input into the substance of that award- so we will begin to give this award next year. There will however, be tribute paid to Laura at the event.

There will be a sign language interpreter, the location is fully accessible.

There will not be handouts or printed material to take home. No RSVP required unless you need some other accommodation.
